Cambodia Casinos

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the border from neighboring Thailand, in which casino betting is illegal. Eight gambling halls are based in a relatively small space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime spot, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a number of restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; however, financing sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 5:00 p.m., and even though visas are allegedly needed to pass, there are methods around this, as is accurate of most borders.
The initial Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary barge gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty table games. The Naga casino never closes with forty two tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of 21, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are 150 slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven punto banco (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an international resort and hotel complex that contains numerous luxuries accompanying the casino, which contains 10,000 square feet of 130 slot machines and 88 tables.
