There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the border from next door Thailand, where gambling hall wagering is against the law. Eight gambling dens are established in a relatively tiny area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime spot, a 3 to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting locations in Asia. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slots and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machine games and sixty six of the familiar tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel building that features a number of luxuries on top of the gambling den, which houses ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty slots and 88 gaming tables.
