Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where casino gaming is not legal. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively tiny space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent spot, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing income accrued from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; still, financing sources are cryptic. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 17:00, and even though visas are for all intents and purposes needed to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is correct of many border crossings.

The original Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary barge casino, highlights one hundred and fifty slots and 60 table games. The Naga gambling den never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly followed. There are 150 slot machines and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slot machines and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six table games, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and 66 of the common tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive resort and hotel building that highlights a number of luxuries aside from the gambling hall, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and eighty eight gaming tables.
